The Annual Meeting of The Franklin Institute was called to order by Mr. Charles S. Redding, President, immediately after the playing of the National Anthem, when the audience stood at attention.
The Presideflt extended greetings to members of the British Newcomen Society in North America attending the meeting, after their annual Benjamin Franklin Birthday Dinner, held at The Franklin Institute. He then announced that the January meeting is the Annual Meeting of the Institute and requested the members to approve the minutes of the November meeting which appeared in full in the December JOURNAL. As there were no corrections the minutes stood as printed.
Dr. Henry Butler Allen, the Secretary, was then called upon and made the followiu~ report regarding additions to membership in the past month.
