A novel bioactive acetogenm, annohexocin (1), was isolated from the leaves of the sour sop (or guanabana) tree, Annona muricata (Annonaceae). Compound 1 is a C-35 mono-tetrahydrofuran (THF) acetogenm having six OH groups, and its structure has been elucidated by spectroscopic analyses.
