## Mechanical tests were carried out in tension and compression on single and poylcrystalline niobium. The orientation dependence of the mechanical properties at 77Β°K was studied, and the behaviour was found to be highly anisotropic. Crystals with axes near [Oil] deformed by profuse twinning in c
