โœฆ Synopsis

The anisotropy in the electrical resistivity 0 and the anisotropy in the upper critical magnetic field lt,z have been hwestigated for Pb~SrzHoo.sCao.sCu30 s single crystals. The anisotropy in the resistivity. ;), O,b, is 29 at 300K and 140 at 100K. The anisotropy in Ha has been determined from the angular dependc~cc of 19,b(H, 0) under various constant magnetic fields. The angular dependence of H,z is well explained by the effective mass model. The value of 7-tt~z II/Ha I is estimated as 12, which is larger than the 4-5 in YBa~Cu.~O.~ and much smaller than the 19-200 in B,.'zSr, CaCu~Oa. Consequently, it has been concluded that the anisotropy does not always depend on the thickness of the blocking layer but on the overlap of the electronic wave functions along the c-axis.
