✦ Synopsis
The Hall resistance has been measured by the van der Pauw method on single domain YBa 2 Cu 3 O x samples in magnetic fields up to 5 T. Two transversal resistances were measured at two directions approximately perpendicular to each other. Both Hall resistances have typical temperature dependences with negative minimum below the critical temperature, but the anisotropy of the Hall resistance has been observed there. The Hall effect anisotropy can be observed only as a consequence of the violation of the Onsager relations, which include only magnetic field inversion. These relations are connected with corresponding reciprocity theorem, which is not valid below superconducting transition in this material. The observed effects are discussed in term of vortex dynamics in the presence of planar pinning defects. The Hall effect anisotropy can be explained through a model, which combine the guiding pinning with equation of motion in WDT model.
