โœฆ Synopsis

Anisotropic temperature dependence of the electrical resistivity in LiCoO 2 has been 5rst clari5ed using chemically and structurally characterized single crystal specimens. The resistivities both perpendicular and parallel to the c-axis show semiconductive behavior with large anisotropy of c / a +500 at 300 K. The temperature dependence of in-plane resistivity suggested a variable range-hopping in the two-dimensional system.

Temperature variation of electrical conductivity in two crystallographic directions (s k and s c ) of p-Bi 2 Te 3 crystals has been measured. The anisotropic factor, s k =s c , shows an exponential form involving an activation energy. This can be interpreted as an effect of defects between the layer
