The first essay "On the Nature of the Animus" was read at the Psychological Club of ZΓΌrich in November 1931 and was first published, in a slightly expanded form, in Wirklichkeit der Seele (ZΓΌrich: Rascher Verlag, 1934). It is printed by permission of Rascher Verlag.
The second essay"The Anima as an Elemental Being" in German was entitled "Die Anima als Naturwesen" and appeared in Studien zur analytischen Psychologie C.G. Jungs (ZΓΌrich: Rascher Verlag, 1955), vol, 2.
