✦ Synopsis

An arbitrary ensemble is described by a density matrix Q with arbitrary values of its matrix elements. An equivalent description is given by F a n o 's statistical tensors, which are used in this paper. A simple closed formula for the angular distribution of nuclear radiation from an arbitrary ensemble is derived.
