MANY people have waited a long time for such a book as this and they will be grateful to Dr. Brain for giving up much of his time to write it. This is the first time that a positive approach has been made to the preparation of decalcified sections. The actual process of decalcification is described in detail and the choice of decalcifying agents is set out in an interesting and practical manner.

The author with his matured background has discussed the various factors which concern the specimen and its embedding, section cutting, and staining techniques.

The photography throughout the book is excellent. This volume will be in popular demand not only for technical research workers in the field of histology and allied fields of microscopy, but also in the field of dental surgery.

A really useful book, packed full of practical information.
