โœฆ Synopsis

This textbook of anatomy has been designed specifically for students who wish to use the knowledge in clinical situations and desire a greater understanding of the mechanisms which allow movement to take place. Each section follows the same pattern of presentation, with discussion of the bones, muscles and joints and their interaction, nerve blood supply and lymphatic drainage. The applied anatomy of the musculoskeletal system occupies the greater part of the book, but sections are also devoted to human embryology, the skin and its appendages and the structure and function of the nervous system. For clarity of presentation, each page of text faces a page of illustrations and diagrams. Extensive cross-referencing between text and pictures will further assist understanding of even the most difficult structural and functional concepts
