✦ Synopsis

In the present analysis an attempt has been made to study the effects of graphite metal which is an alloy of copper, lead and tin on the characteristic of parallel surface porous recessed thrust bearing. In the study interactions of inertia and temperature have been considered. The results obtained for pressure distribution and load capacity have been compared with the results of Ting and Mayer and are illustrated in the graphs.
