✦ Synopsis

Two outbreaks of Newcastle disease are examined to see if spread of disease could be attributed to airborne virus. Both of the outbreaks have already been discussed in the veterinary literature, but this article re-investigates these outbreaks in the light of current knowledge from a meteorological and epidemiological viewpoint. The analysis suggests that airborne virus may have accounted for the majority of disease spread.
