## Abstract Photonic bandgap (PBG) materials offer an attractive and compact way of integrating the building blocks for optical interconnects and optoelectronic circuits. In this work we demonstrate 2‐D macroporous silicon PBG structures fabricated using interferometric lithography and electrochemi
