✦ Synopsis
The formulation of acoustic radiation from multiple vibrating bodies of arbitrary shape by the Helmholtz integral equation is presented. A computer code was developed to calculate the sound pressure field around an arbitrary number of three-dimensional vibrating bodies of arbitrary shape. The near field of two dilating spheres, determined by using this code, is presented in the form of equal pressure contours. The paper also presents a critical study of the efficacy of the CHIEF method in acoustic radiation problems involving more than one vibrating body.
