## Abstract The single‐crystal X‐ray structures of speciophylline, mitraphylline, and rhynchophylline, oxindole alkaloids from the Peruvian climbing vine __Uncaria tomentosa__ (Rubiaceae), were determined. The three compounds show N⋅⋅⋅HN hydrogen bonding, which has not been observed in the crystal
