The singlet transitions \(D^{1} \Pi-X^{1} \Sigma\) and \(D^{1} \Pi-A^{1} \Delta\) of the \(\mathrm{YCl}\) molecule have been investigated using LIF methods. The \(D^{\prime} \Pi\) state has been excited from the ground state \(X^{1} \Sigma\) by absorption of the blue \(4579 \AA\) Ar ion laser line.

✦ Synopsis
The D IA-X ~ Z + transition in carbon monoxide has been observed by two-photon excitation with a frequency-doubled pulsed dye laser. The rotational structure of thirteen v"= 0 bands has been analyzed: the v'=6-12 bands in 12Ct60, v'=7, 10 and 12 in t3Ct60, and v'=7, 10 and 12 in 13CtSO. Detailed assignments are presented, and from them the rotational and vibrational constants of the D ~ A state have been determined. Using a single mass-reduced fit, molecular constants are calculated for all three isotopomers. Analysis of the 7-0 band of the 11 Z--XIZ + transition is also given.
