Great care was exercised in selecting tim gentlemen to conduct the field work, and the resulls are such as to reflect high credit upon all engtlged.

It is believed that the greater part of the field work of" the survey can he completed before the close of this year, and the entire investigation concluded at a total (..()st not much in excess of the expenditure m,tde by Boston, to cover an area of very much le~s extent.
