✦ Synopsis

It is now mandatory to perform several iterations on a structure to get an optimum design. This requires the use of a digital computer. A major difficulty encountered by users of microcomputers is the non-availability of software. In this paper~ a program developed by the authors for the analysis of plane frames is described. The output for an example problem is also given. This program is a powerful tool for the analysis and design of these frames which are frequently encountered in practice.
