โœฆ Synopsis

A group of biologically important mono-and disaccharides are separated by high-performance liquid chromatography of the benzyloxime-perbenzoyl derivatives on a normal-phase microparticulate column with a hexane-dioxane mixture as the eluting solvent. A single, quantifiable derivative of each sugar is formed easily. These derivatives are detected by UV absorption at either 230 or 254 m-n, with a sensitivity in the picomole range at the former wavelength. The sugars in the residues from the evaporation of small aliquots of biologic fluids (10-100~1) are derivatized without prior isolation and are determined quantitatively by the use of appropriate internal standards. The analyses could be performed routinely with a simple, inexpensive instrument.

A high-performance liquid chromatography method for analyzing disaccharides derived from chondroitin sulfate glycosaminoglycans has been developed which employs a Whatman Partisil-10 PAC amino-cyano column and an acetonitrile/methanol/ammonium acetate solvent to resolve disulfated, monosulfated, and

In this report we describe a very sensitive high-performance liquid chromatographic method for the determination of 24 nonsulfated and variously sulfated disaccharides present in chondroitin sulfates, dermatan sulfates, and hyaluronic acid. The method is superior to others in that monosulfated disac

A single-column high-performance liquid chromatographic system for the simultaneous separation of bases, nucleosides and nucleoside mono-and polyphosphates has been developed, in which a strong porous anion-exchange resin (Aminex A-14) is used. The chromatographic run, carried out at 55" and at alka
