Abstract
A numerical technique is presented for characterizing the radiation patterns and mutual coupling of conformal antennas mounted on a complex platform. This technique uses the higherβorder finite element method (FEM) to model the antennas and the platform and employs the boundary integral equation to terminate the FEM computational domain. The resulting numerical system is solved using a novel preconditioner in conjunction with the multilevel fast multipole algorithm for the fast evaluation of boundary integrals. ## Abstract This paper investigates the characteristics of conformal microstrip patch antennas using the rigorous FDTD approach based on a rectangular mesh and a staircase discretization scheme for the curved regions. It is shown that the conformal shape of microstrip patch antennas can be used as
In this article, wire antennas installed on electrically large structures are modeled by surface-surface configuration. The surface-surface configuration is applied to the hybrid method of moments-physical optics (MoM-PO) to solve electromagnetic radiation problem of wire antennas mounted on electri
