β¦ Synopsis
An analysis of a probe-fed circular patch antenna etched on an electrically thick substrate is conducted. The probe is considered to be the primary source of radiation and the unknown induced current on the patch is determined from the reaction concept. The integral transformation technique is employed in order to obtain various radiation characteristics of the patch. Numerical results reveal that the resonant frequency, input impedance, bandwidth and radiation efficiency vary widely with the thickness of the dielectric substrate. This study may find application in high-frequency printed antennas, especially at the millimeter-wave frequency range.

## Abstract The finiteβdifference timeβdomain (FDTD) method is used to model the response of microstrip patch antennas on magnetized ferrite substrates. The proposed FDTD model utilizes the auxiliary differential equation approach to represent the frequency dependent permeability tensor in the time
