✦ Synopsis

Raman and infrared spectra of hydroxymalonic acid and its potassium salts in aqueous solutions (HzO and DzO) were recorded from 100 to 4000 an-*. The analysis of the polarization of the Raman lines indicated that hydroxymalonic acid and its dipotassium salt belong to the C, group whereas the acid salt belongs to the C, group. An assignment of the fundamental vibrations is proposed.

Raman et infrarouges de I'acide hydroxymalonique et de ses sels alcalins en solution aqueuse (HzO et D,O) ont ete enregistres entre 100 et 4000 cm-I. L'analyse du facteur de depolarisation nous a permis de conclure que I'acide hydroxymalonique et le sel neutre appartiennent au groupe de symetrie C, alors que le sel acide appartient au groupe C,. Une attribution des vibrations fondamentales est proposke.
