To connect add-on-memories to computer systems Berg Electronics have produced a card-edge connector designed to join high-reliability cables. The housing of the connector mates to the back panels of the IBM 360/370 range. It has two rows of 12 contacts. Flat transmission cable can be terminated to a small printed-circuit card by mass soldering. The ends of the connector are solder-dipped to facilitate the connection.
