The authors of the individual chapters are from academia and from fbur European commercial companies with speci~dist knowledge of this area, with the Editor maintaining a high standard of presentation, both in the written material and in the supporting figures. Unlike some multi-author texts, this book also maintains a consistent typeface and professional presentation throughout.
Following the first introductory chapter, which requires no great prior knowledge of MMICs, the subsequent chapters each expand their particular topic area into a useful coverage of the present state of the art. Sufficient but not extensive use of mathematics is included, with appropriate figures and micro photographs being included. Good end-of-chapter references are also given, over one hundred being listed in Chapters 5 and 6.
