β¦ Synopsis
The cases of gonadic germinal tumors in a brother and sister are presented. The girl, 13 years of age, presented with dysgerminoma of the left ovary, and the boy, 22, embryonal carcinoma of the left testis. A study of the genealogic tree revealed that the mother's family had a certain susceptibility to cancer. No abnormality was revealed by a study of the parental karyotype.
