✦ Synopsis
The preparation of the potential magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) tumarselective contrast agent manganese meso-tetra(4-sulfonatophenyl)porphine (MnTPPS4) was optimized to yield a product with high purity (k!X3%) in large amounts (z= 1 g). The presented simplified purification method may contribute to the application of MnTPPS4 in clinical trials.
