✦ Synopsis


To obtain a maximum output as well as a minimum ''black center'' for a copper ¨apor laser system with an order of ;100 W output, a genetic algorithm is applied to optimize both the lazer head and the discharge circuit. Compared with a pre¨ious experimental result, the beam characteristics are significantly impro¨ed along the radial direction, and the output increases from 91 to 171 W.
