We present an iterative domain decomposition method to solve the Helmholtz equation and related optimal control problems. The tionally expresses that the control is optimal. This method proof of convergence of this method relies on energy techniques. actually solves at the same time the equations an

Abstract
In this paper we shall consider a kind of optimal control of the Robin problem. First, we discuss the solvability of the Robin problem, which is not uniquely solvable in general. Then we find the representation of the farβfield pattern in terms of the minimal solution to an integral equation. Based on this representation, an optimization problem is discussed and a Galerkin scheme for the solution is presented.

## Abstract In this paper we shall define an inverse problem for the Helmholtz equation with imaginary part of the wave number being positive. The Cauchy data are known on the boundary of the half plane, but it is not known where the half axis, lying vertically in the upper half plane, is situated.
