β¦ Synopsis
The NXIR specrra of triflooroethene dissolved in various liquid crystals have been anzlysed. The relztivc signs of the indirect couplings could be determined unambiguously from the experiments in the lyotropic solvent. A complete NStR geometry wz obtained from espcriments with rssentislly different arientntions, taking into nccount the J-anisotropies from theoretical calculations. The results were in fair agreement with those of a recent electron diffraction study.
