โœฆ Synopsis

Weakly basic amine resins are an essential component of thermally regenerable systems, but they have the inherent disadvantage of oxidation under the hot . regeneration conditions unless oxygen is removed from the feed water. Removal of oxygen from the hot (SO-90ยฐC) regeneration water poses few problems. but the reduction of oxygen (0 the level of 0.05-0.1 mg/l required in the ambient temperature feed water is n relatively costly operation. This is now considered essential

The rates of adsorption of hydrochloric acid by 16 weakly basic ion-exchange resins have been measured, together with the rates of adsorption of sodium hydroxide by 16 weakly acidic ion-exchange resins. The results obtained for the weakly basic resin "Amberlite IRA-93" confirm that the adsorption ra

Significant advances have been made in the development of the "Sirotherm" process which should pave the way for the commercial utilisation of the process for the desalination of brackish water resources, for municipal, boiler-feed and industrial water supply purposes . These advances include the syn
