✦ Synopsis

Based on calibration property experiments on the thermoelectric motive force of dilute magnetic copper-iron alloys at low temperatures (4-273 K) and experiments on dynamic frequency properties of inhomogeneity, an investigation has been made on the influences of different iron impurity concentrations on the low temperature thermoelectric properties and the inhomogeneity properties. It has been found by experiment that, within a fairly wide temperature range, the emf of copper-iron alloy is about 25 percent higher than that of gold-iron. The sensitivity for copper-iron above 16 K is higher than that for gold-iron alloy. The static inhomogeneity of copper-iron alloy is less than 2 I.IV and the dynamic inhomogeneity calculated statistically is equivalent to that of nickel-chromium alloy.
