β¦ Synopsis
Factor F-42U, a coenzyme common to and specific for methanogenic bacteria, was monitored in three bench-scale anaerobic fermenters, with different substrates and a range of physiological conditions. F-420 concentrations decreased with increasing solids retention times and also varied among reactors depending on electron donor (substrate).
