A mettwd for the interpolation of a potential from data for the Czv and C,, configurations for atom-diatomic systems is presented. The potential is given in terms of elliptical coordinates. The method is applied to the He-Li2( A 'Z: ) system. Convergency of the Legendre expansion of the potential is discussed.
