## Abstract The interaction of the scan rates of ultrasonic scanning and television recording systems often causes portions of the resultant television image to be either overโ or underโscanned. This results in objectionable bright and dark sectors within the ultrasonic image on a television monito

โฆ Synopsis
Abstract
A mechanical sector scanning ultrasonic imaging system was integrated with a video character generator and an infrared sensitive television camera to add patient data and scanner position information to a recorded ultrasonic image. A permanent record is made by recording the final composite image on video tape together with simultaneous audio of examiner's comments during examination. This has facilitated both the interpretation of scans and the relocation of the scanner on successive procedures.

## Abstract An ultrasonic multitransducer scanner has been developed. It works in combination with a conventional echocardiograph and is capable of instant dynamic crossโsectional imaging of the heart. A 10 cm wide area is scanned by 50 parallel sound beams, spaced 2 mm apart, at a frame rate of 36
Intravascular ultrasonic imaging is a promising technique for the study of arterial disease. Several investigators have shown that intravascular ultrasonography can differentiate normal from abnormal arteries in both the in vitro and in vivo setting.'-" The technique allows characterization of ather
This paper proposes an imaging method using ultrasound for objects which cannot be observed optically, such as objects in muddy water or in mist. The acoustic Fourier transform (AFT) is described, whereby the object information is Fourier-transformed using the ultrasound. A transmitter element and a
## Abstract A digitalโelectronic reconstruction system for MRI has been designed and demonstrated. The system is capable of reconstructing a 128 ร 128 pixel image from complexโvalued data in approximately 8 ms (122 frames per second) or a 256 ร 256 pixel image in 32 ms (30 frames per second) using
