Abstract
In this article, a fully integrated monocycle pulseβbased ultrawideband (UWB) transmitter is presented. Fabricated in a 0.18βΞΌm CMOS process, a lowβpower allβdigital UWB pulse generator and modulator is proposed. The modulated pulse is further shaped by a driver amplifier. The transmitted pulses are binary phase modulated and meet the FCC UWB low frequency band (3.1β4.5 GHz) spectral mask specification. Β© 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
