An inno¨ati¨e leaky-wa¨e antenna LWA for an indoor cellular mobile communications system has been concei¨ed. It is designed to pro¨ide reliable ser¨ices for a large number of users in large enclosed en¨ironments, such as shopping malls, sports areas, subways, concourses and so on. This antenna is suitable for an indoor communication en¨ironment in which the elliptical cells replace con¨entional circular cells, and the main radiation beam can be controlled easily. By ( ) changing the length L of the microstrip line between two slots, the desired scanning angle range can be achie¨ed.
