✦ Synopsis

Abstract

The transmission characteristics of an improved optically controlled microstrip interdigital gap structure on a high‐resistivity silicon substrate are reported. When irradiated with an optically controlled power as low as 8 mw, a maximum signal‐phase change of 37° is obtained while the signal amplitude remains nearly constant. The proposed device can potentially be used as an optically controlled phase shifter. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract The optically controlled phase and magnitude of a coplanar transmitted wave have been investigated, taking advantage of the benefit of silicon photo‐absorption at 843 nm. A phase‐shift of 45° has been achieved at 12 GHz while the magnitude remains constant. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc

Depression is common in schizophrenia and worsens its course. The role of antidepressants for schizophrenic depression remains unclear. In this study, the efficacy of add-on mirtazapine on depression in schizophrenia was explored in a subsidiary arm of a recent randomized controlled trial. Patients
