Abstract
This Letter presents a new radiation model for stacked‐patch antennas. The model is based on the two‐slot model and consists of a four‐ or six‐element array, depending on the supposition of infinite ground plane. The parameters that can be extracted from this model, such as coupling coefficient, surface‐wave coefficients, and phases are very useful in stacked‐patch design. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
