β¦ Synopsis
An exact elastic analysis is presented for the deformation of a finite length hollow cylinder subjected to thermal and mechanical loads. The solution presented satisfies the surface and end boundary conditions identically. A comparison of the present solution with the classical solution shows that'the latter is exact for a certain class of materials.

In this paper, the elastic-perfectly plastic antiplane problem of a crack in anisotropic plane of finite width is studied. Using the methods of Rice and Lekhnitskii, an exact solution in closed form is obtained.
