FeCl 3 โ€ข6H 2 O, RuCl 3 โ€ขH 2 O and FeCl 2 โ€ข4H 2 O are found to be bulk polymerization catalysts for the ring opening polymerization of -caprolactone, โฆ-valerolactone and โค-butyrolactone. These polymerizations can be significantly enhanced by conducting them in the presence of appropriate amounts of d
