✦ Synopsis
An electron carrying factor which can replace methyl viologen in the system of nitrite reductase activity was separated from a proplastid-enriched fraction of cultured tobacco cells, by DEAE-cellulose chromatography. The electron carrying activity was found to be reversibly inactivated by NaC1.
