✦ Synopsis
The properties and characteristics of an optical switching system based on polymethylthiophene as the primary electrochromic material and Li-intercalated nickel oxide as the counter electrode, have been investigated in terms of electrical and optical response. The results indicate that the system is promising for the realization of new types of electrochromic windows.
