β¦ Synopsis
Based on the principle of operation of self-excitation vibrating-wire sensors, in this paper the experimental results of the designed excitation circuit are reported. The existing model for vibrating-wire instruments is reviewed. The proposed model is implemented by an 8-bit microcontroller while maintaining the intrinsic characteristics of the vibrating-wire sensors. A case study is carried out to compare the processed results using the proposed model with those using the existing model. The proposed model is also used to build up a model for a vibrating-wire displacement sensor.
