β¦ Synopsis
Manganese(III)meso-tetraarylporphyrins (e.g., MnTPPCI, MnT(PCI)PPCI, MnT(PMe)PPC1), MnT(ONO2)PPCI, MnT(DCI)PPCI) were synthesized in a one-pot reaction from freshly distilled pyrrole and the corresponding pure aldehyde (benzaldehyde, p-chlorobenzaldehyde, pmethylbenzaldehyde, o-nitrobenzaldehyde, and 2,6-dichlorobenzaldehyde) by the action of manganese(II) chloride, MnCI2, as a template in a phenol medium. Up to 71% yields of pure Manganese(III)mesotetraarylporphyrins were obtained in a short period of time.
