Abstract
An efficient approach for fast evaluation of the poles' locations in two‐layered microstrip geometry has been presented. For the first time, good initial values and functional expressions with quadratic convergence for two‐layered pole extraction have been derived. Numerical comparison with available methods of extraction shows that our proposed method is very accurate and extremely fast in convergence. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
