โœฆ Synopsis

Two questions arise in connection with the problem of polarity in Tubularia: ( I ) T h e Rind of Structure, polyp or stolon, that develops on a cut surface; and (2) the time at which the new structure appears. The former includes the idea of "polarity" in the usual sense; but, as I shall attempt to show, the time of appearance of the new structure may also be an important factor in determining the kind of structure that develops when an alternative exists.

## Abstract This study presents a comparison of the efficiency of a bioscrubber and a biotrickling filter (BTF) for the removal of ethyl acetate (EA) vapour from a waste gas stream, under the same operating conditions. The maximum EA elimination capacity achieved in the bioscrubber was 550 g m^โˆ’3^
