โฆ Synopsis
A curious behaviour of the low temperature dielectric loss in a PVC-PVDC copolymer (Saran) is reported: below 270 K the ioss, ran 6, is essentially independent of both *-he temperature and the frequency in the range 100 Hz to 100 kHz An amlysis of the e.xperimental data lea& to the inference that dielectric relation is possibly a critical phenomenon, in which the reorientation polarization, and thus tie dipolar loss arising from it, vanish at some fnite temperature TO. such as 270 K TOi the 10~s -%ve at ICO Hz and 290 K for the loss curve at 100 kHz.
