## Abstract A purported hallmark of temperament characteristics is that they appear very early in the course of development and are persistent across time and situation. There is, however, a small, but growing cadre of research findings that question this traditional view. It may be that temperamen

. An approach to growth curve analysis. Agric. Meteorol., A mathematical expression for the growth rate of a pasture is derived from simple assumptions relating transpiration and respiration to the current total dry weight. It is shown that numerical integration of the expression leads to a typical sigmoidal growth curve. It is also shown that, by fitting such a growth curve to experimental results and, on the basis of the assumptions, certain conclusions may be drawn as to the physiological characteristics of the experimental pasture. The study indicates that, under some circumstances, a considerable proportion of seasonal yield variation can be explained in terms of these simple assumptions.

This paper describes an algebraic approach to computing the system of adjoint curves to a given absolutely irreducible plane algebraic curve. The proposed algorithm utilizes the integral closure of the coordinate ring rather than expanding neighborhood graphs using quadratic transformations.

The analysis of data variously termed growth curve data, repeated measurements data, or profile data is discussed. Typically, one has measurements taken at several points in time for each experimental unit. Usually there are also treatments randomized to these experimental units according to a suita
