✦ Synopsis

An approach for determining the ranking of a set of alternatives is developed. It is based on concepts of conditional probability. The approach evaluates the set of alternatives and arrives at a preference ranking of either the entire set or a subset of available alternatives. Results of preliminary tests involving generated problems are favorable.
