โœฆ Synopsis

An approach for parameter estimators design of biotechnological processes (BTP) is presented in case of lack qS({) of real time information about state variables. It is based on general reaction rate models and measurements of at least one reaction rate. A general parameter estimator of BTP is designed R({) with the help of which specific rate estimators are synthesized. Stability and convergence of an estimator of specific growth rate for a class of aerobic batch processes are proved. Its effectiveness F is illustrated by simulation results. The proposed on-line O parameter estimation approach can be used for design of BTP Pb(~) on-line variable estimation algorithms (variable observers of P l(P) BTP). p(t) List of symbols X, S, P g/1 C g/1 Cs g/1 Ci,,, Cout g/1 Fin, Fou ~ 1/h OUR g/(1 h) OURm g/(1 h) W 1 #, K, e l/h KLa(o) l/h

## Abstract This paper presents two techniques, i.e. the proper orthogonal decomposition (POD) and the stochastic collocation method (SCM), for constructing surrogate models to accelerate the Bayesian inference approach for parameter estimation problems associated with partial differential equation
